Mr Constable, Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Philip Ozouf.

  1. Six years ago I set out a number of pledges: a Competition Law, solving unfair Rates and regenerating town.

  2. I delivered the Competition Law. It banned cartels, controls monopolies and reduced inflation. My initiatives have saved consumers millions.

  3. The creation of a commercial Parish rate was my initiative and solved unfair Rates.

  4. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am not one of those politicians you only hear from at election time.

  5. I deliver on my promises.

  6. For the last 3 years I have been your Minister responsible for the economy.

  7. Tourism, finance, fishing, e-commerce, also overseeing the harbours and airports: I’m known as a reformer. A team player.

  8. Our worldclass industry, entered new markets, with significant financial firepower, WE WILL and can weather the current storms.

  9. This has not happened by accident.

  10. In Tourism, I have lead a team and we’re seeing the first new hotels opened for a generation. We’ve diversified.

  11. E-commerce is booming, I’ve helped small business and fishermen. For the first time – put a focus on skills.

  12. My politics are more than money – I care about the environment.

  13. I’ve secured a future for the Battle of Flower’s. From the Branchage Film Festival to Ice shows. I’ve help create a vibrant events programme.

  14. Whilst I’m still one of the youngest members – I am respected by staff.

  15. You may recall the Broad Street project. Initially highly controversial, I had a vision – delivered it: Who would imagine St Helier without the Broad Street Square? the taxi drivers wouldn’t go back.

  16. I have a clear vision and policies.

  17. I am committed to keeping taxes as low as possible and getting better value for money.

  18. Tough on spending – at the same time – a caring commitment to providing excellent services.

  19. Better use of States’ property can save money.

  20. Just one example of where I can make a difference.

  21. I am clearer than ever the States Assembly has to be reformed. Yes fewer members.

  22. I understand the States has to listenMORE

  23. I passionately believe in constructive change.

  24. I’ve done it with my department and the economy: I believe I can do more.

  25. As a Senator you represent all the people of Jersey.

  26. Here in St Clement, I understand your concern about development – have you had enough?

  27. That’s one of the reasons why I am currently working on plans to help regenerateSt Helier.

  28. If you want a candidate who has worked hard for Jersey with leadership, ability and a proven track record to get things done, then please consider me for one of your votes.
